Message from the CEO
4 months agoWelcome back to Term 3. I hope you had a chance to enjoy the break and step back from some of the usual demands of the school week. Term 3 often brings a full calendar for P&C Associations with events, activities and fundraising efforts gaining momentum as the school year shifts into its second half.
Term 3 is also when we celebrate Public Education Week, running from 4–8 August. This is always a highlight on our calendar, because public education isn’t just something we support, it’s what we believe in, and it’s worth pausing to acknowledge the role it plays in shaping lives and communities across the state.
This year’s theme, Ignite Your Potential, which is a reminder of what public education makes possible, not just in bringing out the potential of young people, but in the strength and capacity of entire school communities. P&C Associations contribute to that potential every day, through practical support, strong local leadership, and the steady, thoughtful work that enables schools to thrive.
To mark the week, we’re inviting P&C Associations to take over our social media channels and help celebrate public education in action. Whether it’s a fundraiser, a school event, or a photo of the people in your school community, we would love to share it and recognise its impact.
Click here to submit your photos and keep an eye out for them as part of our Public Education Week celebration. You can also read more about the week here.
The start of a new term also brings a new edition of our Journal. Keep an eye out for the print copy that has been sent to your school or the postal address listed on your profile. You can also read the latest issue, along with previous editions, on our website.
We are looking forward to this new term and what the second half of the year will bring. We look forward to facing its challenges and opportunities with you and taking full advantage of its potential.
