The Winner of the NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year 2017 Award is…
The winner of the prestigious ‘NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year 2017 Award’ that recognises the
extraordinary commitment, time and effort volunteers put in to support their school
community and students, was announced tonight at 9:30 pm at Novotel during the P&C
Federation’s ‘NSW P&C Volunteer of Year’ Awards Dinner Night.
Honourable guests in attendance were His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC
DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales and Mrs. Linda Hurley. The evening was facilitated
by Master of Ceremonies Mr. Andrew Fuller, after which Kellie May from NSW Volunteering
took the stage to introduce each finalist.
His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley, announced Katherine Mullen from Castle
Hill Public School as the ‘NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year 2017’ for her outstanding contribution
to her school community.
P&C Federation President, Susie Boyd commented, “I’d like to congratulate Katherine Mullen
for winning the coveted NSW P&C Volunteer of the Year 2017 title. What an incredible win! The
nominations received this year were par excellence.”
Ms. Boyd went on to say, “On this occasion, I’d like to remind all P&C Associations that P&C
Day is just around the corner. Be sure to celebrate and recognise the efforts and achievements
of those volunteers and members for a job well done on 7th March.”
P&C Federation Board and Staff would like to thank the judgesfor sorting through the excellent
nominations received and choosing the 15 finalists and the ultimate winner.
