Rural and Remote Education Strategy Consultation

The NSW Department of Education is running a series of forums and meetings with a wide variety of stakeholders across NSW to help shape the future of rural and remote education.

P&C Federation has a unique opportunity to offer you a webinar facilitated by Dr. Lynda Pinnington-Wilson on Tuesday 30 June 2020 at 7:00 PM.

The purpose of this webinar is to provide background information to complement the consultation process.

The Department values your contributions and would like to hear your ideas, suggestions and solutions to improve educational outcomes in regional and remote areas to inform the development of a rural education strategy.

The consultation webinar will run for approximately 35 minutes. The background paper and online consultation survey link will be emailed to you upon registration.

Dr Lynda Pinnington-Wilson

Rural and Remote Education Program Coordinator | Rural and Pathways @Department of Education

Dr Lynda Pinnington-Wilson’s 30+ year career with the NSW Department of Education has spanned the primary and secondary sectors of education in various leadership positions. Dr Pinnington-Wilson’s 16 year parallel career in the tertiary sector at the University of Wollongong, Western Sydney University and most recently supervising Doctoral candidates at Notre Dame university, Sydney includes the preparation of a generation of teachers through the Masters of Teaching and Masters of Education programs. She has presented at national and international conferences, however, she claims her daily classroom teaching that has always been the highlight of her career. Lynda recently held the position of CEO within the Leadership and High Performance Directorate and comes to the newly established Rural and Pathways unit in 2020 to fulfil a career ambition of knowing more about rural education
