Member Benefits
WHAT IS P&C FEDERATION MEMBERSHIP?
Each incorporated P&C Association in NSW is a member of the P&C Federation of NSW. Their membership entitles a P&C Association to a range of benefits and resources and enables the Federation to represent and advocate on their behalf.
Membership gives your association access to dedicated support, resources, and advocacy tailored to the needs of NSW public school communities. As a member, your P&C benefits from expert guidance on governance, legal compliance, and conflict resolution, as well as access to training, tools and updates. Importantly, the Federation represents your voice in state-wide discussions with the NSW Department of Education and government – ensuring parents and carers have influence on decisions that affect their schools.
Membership renewal occurs alongside a P&C Association’s insurance renewal. Both are important for P&C Associations in NSW.

Advocacy “Voice with Value”
The P&C Federation is committed to a free, public education system that is open to all people irrespective of culture, gender, academic ability, and socioeconomic class. We represent the voice of parents through elected Delegates and Directors to work with the Department of Education and other stakeholders on a range of public interest topics in education.
News & Publications
The P&C Federation publishes a fortnightly E-bulletin, the quarterly Parent & Citizen journal and direct member communication on the latest news and information relevant to P&C Associations. We also strive to give voice to P&C Associations and their communities by sharing their success stories in recognition of their service and achievements.
Incorporated Status
Maintaining membership of the P&C Federation is a requirement of the Parents and Citizens Association Incorporation Act 1976. By maintaining your membership, you continue to be offered the protections of being an Incorporated P&C Association. Member P&C Associations that are unincorporated may apply to become incorporated at no extra cost.
Professional Development
Gain access to the Member Portal, where member P&C Associations can access related information and resources. The P&C Federation also offers webinar programs to support Office Bearers and topics of relevance to parents and carers.
Conference & Roadshows
We provide annual events for members to meet, share their stories, and learn from key experts on the things that matter most to P&Cs. Our Biannual Conference and Rural and Regional Roadshows are held in alternating years, giving everyone across NSW equal access to P&C Federation events.
Resource Library
The P&C Federation Member Portal hosts a variety of member resources tailored to P&C Associations in NSW. From templates to posters, employment contracts to governance checklists, we have everything you need to support your P&C Association through all steps of its journey. Our resource library is updated regularly.
Volunteer Recognition
The P&C Federation recognises the contributions of individual volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their public school community through the P&C Federation NSW Annual Volunteer Awards. We also provide opportunities through case-studies and links with the Department of Education to celebrate the achievements of P&C Associations and their volunteers.
