For Parents
Parent-involvement is good for a child’s education.
We believe that school communities thrive with strong parent and carer engagement
and with active and involved P&C Associations.
Get Involved
Stay up to date on what’s happening
Many P&C Associations will share information regularly on their social media channels, via email or on a website. Keeping up with your local P&C Association is a great way to know what projects, activities and priorities are being discussed in your school. The P&C Federation also sends out a fortnightly bulletin which you can subscribe to here.
Volunteer at school events
P&C Associations can run businesses within the school and put in a number of events throughout the year, and they always need support. Whether it’s volunteering in the canteen, running a stall or putting up your hand to work the BBQ for an hour – all contributions help.
Attend P&C Meetings
P&C Associations run regular meetings to discuss topics that directly impact your school community and your child’s education experience. One great way to get involved is to come along to meetings to contribute to the discussion so that any decisions that are made are truly representative of all members of the school community.
Join your P&C Association
Being a part of your P&C Association is a great way to contribute to your school community. You don’t have to be an office bearer, but joining as a member is a valuable way to be involved in your school community and the decisions and projects that are agreed on.
