P&C Federation NSW Announces New Board President – Darin McLean

The Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW is pleased to announce the appointment of Darin McLean as the new President of the P&C Federation Board.
Mr McLean has over seven years of P&C experience, having served as P&C President at both primary and secondary school levels. He has been the Vice President and Director, Western Sydney of the P&C Federation Board since 2025. He brings a clear vision and steady guidance to the organisation’s next chapter with his ongoing commitment to making public school communities stronger through the work of our P&C Associations. “I see real opportunities for the Federation to grow, to be more relevant to our member associations, and to build stronger connections with parents right across NSW”, he said.
Driven by an unwavering commitment to advocate for parents and students, and as chair of the Federation’s Advocacy Subcommittee, Mr McLean is passionate about listening first and then bringing an informed and genuine voice into the room. He is clear that the wellbeing of students should be front and centre in every decision and their ability to grow to their full potential and beyond is what must be the goal. It was this genuine belief that fuelled his decision to step into this role.
P&C Federation Interim CEO, Tim Spencer acknowledged the appointment. “I am thrilled Darin is stepping into this role. This ensures complete continuity of our strategic plans. Darin brings a strong balance of heart and focus. He is a tremendous asset to our team and the communities we serve”, he said.
Jodie Hazell, Director Macarthur, will move into the position of Vice President of the Board.
The P&C Federation of NSW is the peak body for P&C Associations across NSW.
