Department of Education announces Consent package for NSW schools and parents
4 years ago
The Department of Education has announced a series of initiatives to support the teaching of respectful relationships. A new range of curriculum, aligned with the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) curriculum, will be created for teachers.
Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW has partnered with the Department of Education to involve parents and carers in this process. A webinar will be held on 17th June for P&C members to find out more about the Statement of Intent, what students currently learn through the curriculum, and how parents and carers can stay engaged in the discussion. Registrations for the webinar will be open soon through the P&C Federation website. And next term P&C Association members will be invited to participate in a survey.
