Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW announces the resignation of Kaitlin Serrano from her position as President and Director of the P&C Federation Board, effective 19 August. We thank Kaitlin for her dedicated service, leadership and guidance during her tenure.
Vice President and Western Sydney Director Darin McLean assumed the role of Acting President and will remain in this position until it is formally filled. He brings to the position extensive leadership and governance experience and a commitment to making public school communities stronger through the work of our P&C Associations.
Mr. McLean acknowledged the contribution of Kaitlin Serrano to P&C Federation and reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to our members. “Kaitlin has put in an immense amount of effort and has a lot to be proud of in her leadership of this very significant organisation, representing so many parents and, in turn, students. We wish her all the best and have confidence in her continued success in making change for good into the future”, he said.
The P&C Federation of NSW is the peak body for P&C Associations across NSW.
The P&C Federation is committed to a free public education system which is inclusive of all, irrespective of culture, gender, academic ability and socio-economic status. Parents, as partners in the education process, have a right and a responsibility to play an active role in the education of their children. We support nearly 2,000 P&C Associations across NSW, represent the voice of parents and work to help public school communities to thrive.
