P&C Federation is co-hosting this webinar with the NSW Department of Education to provide parents and carers an update on the COVID-Smart Settings in NSW Public Schools at the start of Term 3.

The webinar will cover:

• The COVID-Smart Settings in NSW Public Schools in Term 3 which have been revised in light of the current COVID and influenza context
• An update on the current COVID-19 situation, vaccination and best ways to keep you and your family safe this winter season
• An overview of available teaching and learning resources and how parents and carers can access them in the event cohorts of students or schools have a circuit breaker period of learning from home

Natalie Walker is the Far West Councillor & elected President of NSW P&C Federation. She resides in Forbes, Central West NSW, with her husband and two children who attend Forbes High School. Natalie is also an active member of Forbes High School P&C Association, currently in the role of Secretary.

As a passionate advocate for (and product of) public education, Natalie is deeply committed through her professional and volunteer work to ensuring all children and young people get the best start in life. Based in NSW, this means her effort is focussed on strengthening the foundations of key organisations – and particularly the NSW P&C Federation – as valuable stakeholders, partners and contributors to NSW public schools and the system they operate in.

Dr Kerry Chant
Chief Health Officer and Deputy Secretary, Population and Public Health, NSW Ministry of Health

Dr Kerry Chant is a public health physician, Chief Health Officer for New South Wales (NSW) and Deputy Secretary, Population and Public Health, NSW Ministry of Health. Dr Chant has extensive public health experience, having held a range of senior public health positions in NSW since 1991. She has a particular interest in bloodborne virus infections, communicable disease prevention and control, and Indigenous health.

Suzie Matthews
Executive Director, COVID-19 & Crisis Taskforce, NSW Department of Education

Following my appointment to the role of Executive Director of COVID-19 and Crisis Taskforce in February 2022, I have been responsible for overseeing, coordinating and managing all projects related to COVID-19 and Crisis, all while ensuring the delivery of high-quality education.

Michelle Michael
Director, Learning from Home, NSW Department of Education

In her 27 years with the NSW Department of Education, Michelle has held senior leadership roles across the Department. Michelle is currently the Director, Educational Support, Rural Initiatives and COVID-19 & Crisis Taskforce, Learning from Home. Leading the NSW Learning from Home response during the COVID-19 pandemic, Michelle is responsible for a large team of energetic, forward thinking, pedagogical and technical experts who are committed to preparing all students in NSW public schools to meet the challenges of a dynamic regional and global future.
