Improving the experience of transitioning to high school for all students

Transitioning to high school can be an exciting and challenging time for students, their parents and carers, and schools. In consultation with schools, the NSW Department of Education (the department) is researching practices that appear to support successful transitions, as well as the challenges that need to be addressed.

The department is seeking feedback from parents and carers to ensure a positive transition experience for all students from primary to high school.

If you are a parent and carer of a child who is about to, or has, transitioned to high school, you can participate in a survey or register for one of four focus group sessions through the Have your say tab in the Parents and Carers Hub.

The survey closes Sunday, 6 June 2023, 11:29 pm AEST.
